I am a Jing Method™ Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist, I am qualified to treat a range of chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions including low back pain, neck pain, headaches, whiplash, RSI, fibromyalgia and many other on-going injury or pain conditions.
As an advanced clinical massage therapist, I am trained in a range of safe and effective soft tissue and massage techniques that aim to reduce your pain and increase your movement within 1-6 clinical treatments. The techniques I use include fascial work, trigger point therapy, acupressure, stretching and tailored self-care.
I use a warm and heart-centred approach that takes full account of all your physical and emotional needs and am committed to working alongside you to get the results you need.
For the last 16 years I have been helping people, in and around the Derby area, to manage their pain using various massage techniques and aromatherapy oils. I first qualified in Swedish Massage (ITEC), Sports Massage (ITEC) and Holistic Therapies, including Aromatherapy (VTCT) in 2004, realising that I could only really use my massage for relaxation and although aromatherapy helped for the pain relief and emotional trauma, I decided to continue my training and so in 2008, I qualified in Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy (NCFE), upgrading my skills to include more advanced techniques, stretching and rehabilitation.
After a break of 2 years away from massage, I came back to the holistic world and trained as a Guided Meditation Leader and decided to do a refresher course in massage at Jing Advanced Massage Training, Brighton where I continued on to complete Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy.
I am a member of the Complementary Health Professionals and am dedicated to keeping my training up to date. At present I have just completed year 1 of the 3 year BTEC Level 6 in Advanced Clinical Massage and Sports Therapy.
