Having completed Jing’s certificate training programme, Helen is an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist specialising in the treatment of pain. Each treatment addresses the individual’s concerns using a blend of techniques from sports stretching to trigger point therapy and hot stones in a way that efficiently reduces pain, while providing the relaxing, nurturing benefits of caring touch. She believes that massage can be profoundly beneficial for both physical and emotional issues and loves to work as a team with clients seeking to improve their health and happiness by developing an awareness about how their bodies reflect their overall wellbeing.
Helen’s background as a wellbeing journalist, Associate Editor for Elle Decoration and former Commissioning Editor for the beauty and health pages of The Sunday Times Style magazine means she draws on a wealth of first hand experience of some of the world’s top therapists and spas when delivering her own treatments.
Besides the certificate in Advanced Clinical Massage, Helen has completed Jing’s Pregnancy and Hot Stone Massage training.
Helen has provided massage on film sets and fitness retreats and practices at Shine Holistic and Shine on the Green in Stoke Newington where she offers remedial and deep tissue massage, hot stone massage and pregnancy treatments. She also offers a home visiting massage service within London.
