I initially discovered massage when studying general wellness in the early 90’s, and have been in fulltime practice since thereafter completing my professional massage therapist diploma at Axelsons Gymnastiska Institut in Sweden in 1996.
I studied extensively and had a lot of fun with Jing between 2013 and 2018 when I completed qualifications in advanced clinical massage therapy (ACMT), advanced myofascial release (MFR), professional diploma in advanced clinical & sports massage BTEC 6 and advanced musculoskeletal anatomy.
Health, wellness and fitness has always been of interest to me and I enjoy working with and assisting people looking to feel better. Massage and hands on work is such an important tool to address many aspects of our wellbeing.
Muscle tissue is the largest organ of the human body, complex and vulnerable to dysfunction, and the primary target for the wear and tear of daily activities.
It’s beautiful to see both short- and long-term problems being relieved by the introduction of some targeted massage, stretches and movement of the tissues.
A massage session is always tailored to suit the individual’s needs, situation and type of issue presented with, and suitable techniques chosen to match the desired outcome.
As well as helping relieving the client’s symptoms I also find it interesting trying to find the cause as well, and are always happy to share some tips that might help improve the situation.
