Yes we can massage people with a cancer diagnosis! In this exciting workshop, Yvonne Cervetti and Sally Jeffery will share their knowledge and experience of the benefits of working with people with a cancer diagnosis and their families, they will explore some of the issues involved, discuss available reading and research and include hands on techniques beneficial to all clients. Yvonne Cervetti (Jing teacher) studied Complementary Therapies in Cancer Care at The Christie Hospital and worked as a Senior Therapist at St. Mary’s Hospice, Ulverston for 5 years. Sally Jeffery has worked for Cancer Care, Cumbria for 20 years, 6 years of which were as lead practitioner for bodywork therapists.

Jing Institute Director Rachel Fairweather, self professed anatomy ‘nerd’, will explore her favorite part of the body with you. As an expert in treating spinal pathologies, she will take you through the vital palpation, actions and location of all the intricacies of this amazing structure. KIRTAN @ The Jing Institute this month with Narayani
Meditative and ecstatic chants are led by Narayani’s deeply resonant voice. Sanskrit mantras are set to beautiful, yet simple, melodies. Kirtan (often called Bhajans) is an ancient and effective yogic practice of singing together to open the heart and connect to the self. The chants are easy to pick up and give a wonderful opportunity to discover the power of your own voice.
