Advanced Rehabilitation for Knee Pain

Led by Dr. Bettina Karsten, this dynamic 1 day course is dedicated to the specific principles of rehab for knee pain.

You will learn practical rehabilitation and training techniques for athletes and non-athletes alike, who want to regain full range of motion and strength levels after injuries, surgery or joint replacement.

The main principles of exercise rehabilitation are – strength, endurance, proprioception and coordination. This masterclass will be taught using a mix of practical work and theory in equal measure – ensuring you will be able to apply the techniques learned immediately.

In class, you will assess each other to understand how simple principles such as strength provide us with stability, whilst preventing and decreasing pathologies such as osteoarthritis and meniscal/cartilage injuries.

This is a unique opportunity for anybody interested in advanced rehabilitation techniques to learn about novel methods of structured and progressive exercise therapy that go far beyond commonly applied techniques.

This course incorporates cutting edge research in muscle physiology, functional anatomy and tissue repair, to develop tailored exercise rehabilitations plans.

This fantastic course is relevant to anyone with a background in bodywork or personal training.
