Anatomy Dissection Day with Caroline Barrow

Advance your anatomy by leaps and bounds… in only one day

How? By joining Caroline Barrow in the Dissection Lab to explore a variety of cadaver dissections designed to show the key anatomy we need to know for bodywork.

The nub of the day is that you get the chance to see and feel, examine and explore real, pre-dissected structures of the body. Focusing on the musculoskeletal system we will explore the structures you know about and treat. Seeing them in true 3-d, in relationship to each other and at different depths of dissection, deepens your understanding in a way little else could, and with a little supportive theory we hope to really make it stick. It is specifically designed and tailored for Complementary Therapists and is also great for some of the more unusual CPD points available!

You will see:

  • the skeleton, as individual real bones as well as with attachments in place
  • major muscles of the trunk, neck, upper and lower limbs
  • key nerve supply routes
  • main blood vessels to the areas
  • a variety of other ‘pot’ specimens showing detailed aspects of joint, ligament and other relevant structures

In short, an extraordinary day. Or as one person once responded: “Yes, yes! ‘Life’ is different today”

This course will run from 10.00 a.m. till 4.00 p.m. with students needing to meet up with Caroline at 09.45 a.m. sharp so that she can guide the group to where the day will commence (full details and directions are contained in your joining instructions).
